Show 98 – 28/05/13

No guest or Joel tonight so we left it up to Chicago Ron, “Hurricane” Don Beam, and our super intern Wheels to man the mics and give you the Hurricane Ron Wheels Power Hour. Opening up the show we had a quick roundtable on the Rutgers scandals with the hiring of new coach Eddie Jordan and new AD Julie Hermann. Following we had our Tips of the Hats where Don started out with a shout out to the Spurs for making it to the Finals and the new coach of the Avalanche. Next Don gave us the topic that grinds his gears and it was Dusty Baker. Following Kristina gave her tips to her Clippers and to Britney Griner also her grind my gears moment was the Notre Dame scandal. Ron gave his Tips to his Blackhawks and to his beloved Cubs. Also, his grind my gears moment went to the NCAA scandals. Afterward we had Don give his take on the Toronto Blue Jays finally showing up. Closing out the first half hour we had an open discussion between Don, Ron, and Tony on the umpire situation in the MLB.

Coming back from break we had our Pick of the Week segment sponsored every week by InkFiends Clothing. Our pick this week was the LA Kings vs. the San Jose Sharks. Don and Kristina both picked the Sharks over the Kings. Afterwards we had our Suck It Rant by our Super Intern Kristina on Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame Football staff on how they handled Everett Golson. Following that we had our Around the Dial segment prepared every week by Kristina. Closing out we had the events we’re looking forward to in the upcoming week and a quick Buy and Sell on the umpire situation and whether the fans will lose interest in going to games if it continues. No host tonight so it was the Mr. Bear Fan Ron, Hurricane Don and Wheels Power Hour. Starting off we had our weekly Tip of the Hats Don gave a quick tip to the NCAA for giving us a playoff system for Football. Kristina gave a quick tip to her beloved Clippers and especially to Chris Paul. Moving on we had a Nba playoff discussion featuring all three of our analysts. After we had a quick Buy and Sell featuring Darrelle Revis and his trade to Tampa Bay.

Coming back from break we had our much awaited Pick of the Week challenge sponsored by InkFiend clothing featuring the Lakers vs. Spurs and the Nets vs. Bulls.

Don and Kristina both picked the Lakers and the Bulls. Following our Pick of the Week segment we had our anticipated Suck It Rant featuring the Lakers and the Kobe/Dantoni situation. Immediately following we had a quick Buy and Sell on the Lakers situation again. After we had our famous Around the Dial segment prepared each and every week by Super Intern Kristina. Closing out we had our producer Rich give us the Baltimore Ravens 2013 season. Well Ladies and Gents all good things must come to an end that being said…AS ALWAYS GOOD FIGHT GOOD NIGHT.

Show 93 – 02/04/2013

We didn’t have a host so it was time to crack open the tomato juice…and you know what happens when we open the tomato juice!! Opening the show we had a quick baseball rundown and we had a special guest Stan Lee come into the studio. We moved into your Tip of the Hats and our Sports stories that have us shaking our head.  Off the bat our guest Stan gave a shout-out to the NCAA for the tourney and the Final Four.  Next, Mr. Bear Fan Ron had a quick Tip of the Hat to the Louisville men’s team for their win over Duke after the gruesome injury to Kevin Ware. Following, Kristina had her famous Suck It Rant on Rutgers men’s coach Mike Rice. Finally Don had a milestone moment and gave a Tip of the Hat to Bryce Harper of the Nationals. Moving forward we had our Baseball Guru Don give us the rundown of Opening Day.

Coming back from the break we had another Suck It rant courtesy of Kristina on Carson Palmer and her beloved Raiders.  Next we had our Pick of the Week sponsored every week by InkFiends Clothing. We had two picks this week Wichita State vs. Louisville and Michigan vs. Syracuse. Kristina picked Louisville & Syracuse whereas Don picked Syracuse and Wichita State.  Finally we had a quick Buy and Sell with the hiring of USC’s new Men’s basketball coach Andy Enfield where our panel pretty much sold the idea. There was no Matt this week so the co-hosts took over so let the good times roll. First of we had Tips of the Hats where Don went off on all things NASCAR. Next we had Kristina with her famous Suck It rant on the Lakers and Florida Gulf Coast. Following that  Mr. Bear Fan Ron gave us some Chi-Town insight into his Bears. To close out the segment our producer Rich gave us some Baltimore Ravens news on Ed Reed signing with the Texans.

Coming back from break we had another Grind My Gears/ Suck It rant where Kristina went off on Havard beating New Mexico State. Following we had our Picks of the Week sponsored every week by InkFiends Clothing where Kristina and Don both pick Indiana over Syracuse, and Florida over Florida Gulf Coast University. Next we had our famous Around the Dial segment following by a rousing Buy and Sell segment featuring the NCAA sweet sixteen matchups. Finally we another Buy and Sell segment with the best Mascots in the sweet sixteen. AS ALWAYS LADIES AND GENTS GOOD FIGHT GOOD NIGHT.

Today our host Matt was away on assignment and while he was away his co-hosts took over the show. First we had our nightly Sporting Highlights where Joel chimed in and lead a baseball discussion leading with what else but his beloved Phillies. After a rousing discussion we moved into a first time moment where we talked about the Undertaker and his Wrestlemania streak.

Coming back from break we had Mr. Bear Fan Ron Chi-Town step into the building. Moving on we had our Pick of the Week segment where Don gave an editorial answer for both of his picks. With the first pick Don picked Golden State over Houston and Kristina picked Houston. Next pick we had Don pick Indiana over Michigan and Kristina picking Indiana. Following we had our Around The Dial segment prepared every week by Kristina. Finally we had our Buy and Sell segment where Don showed his almanac skills and hit the world with his sports knowledge. As always Ladies and Gents Good Fight Good Night!!

If you want to know anything about the San Jose Sharks then Tony Khing is your guy.  Khing has 20 years’ experience in the sporting industry and a whopping 10 years with the San Jose Sharks. Khing got his Start with a sports publishing house in San Francisco writing media content for the Sharks and eventually moved to the San Jose Sharks organization for 10 ½ years. He eventually became a part of the media and community relations foundations with the organization.

Coming back from the break we had the Pick of the Week segment sponsored by Ink Friends Clothing where Kristina and Don had a battle over the Clipper vs. Heat. Then we had our famous Around the Dial Segment prepared by Kristina. Show 83 – 22/01/13

Jake Vernon is a man who knows how to get the job done starting off with a minor league baseball team he decided that he wanted to branch and decided to get into the Indiana Pacers organization. Working his way through the organization Jake made his mark with a 12 year stint as the VP of Ticket Sales for the Pacers. After the Pacers Jake moved on and started up his own company Get Real Sports Sales .
Later in the show we had the famous Around The Dial segment prepared by Super Intern Kristina. During the Around The Dial Segment we had a battle between Kristina and the world over Chip Kelly leaving Oregon for the Philly Eagles…we think Kristina is still waging war against Chip Kelly.

Welcome to Beyond The Game Sports Talk! Alicia Mora is a woman on a mission. Starting in LA on Behind The Music she worked her way through the business and found her way into the sports world become a producer for Beyond The Glory. After working a busy six years at Nike Alicia was eventually hired as a Senior Project Manager for Peter Mayer in New Orleans.
Later we had the famous Around the Dial prepared by Kristina Wheeler each and every week. Following that we had the Buy and Sell segment featuring NFC and AFC title games that went off without a hitch and without a battle between Don and Kristina. As always “Good Fight Good Night.”
