Mr. Crevin, I really enjoyed your informational session about the Sports Industry you gave at Iowa State University in the Fall of 2011. The information you provided has helped me get multiple jobs and internships in sports.

Student, Iowa State University

I truly feel your coaching sessions were the catalyst in landing a position with a NFL Franchise. I appreciate all you have helped me with advice wise and networking wise.

Sincerely,
Allen Levin / allenlevin.com

I just wanted to thank you once again for helping me learn and grow professionally.  The insight and advice you provided me has been invaluable towards learning about sports business.

I am commencing my coursework from ASU in May and I’m immensely excited to take the next step and enter the sports industry.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all of your continued support. You have made a difference in my life and helped prepare me for the real world as I get closer to graduation. Thank you for your time and consideration, I sincerely appreciate it!

Sincerely,

I wanted to write you formally to thank you for providing two engaging lectures to our sports management students this past March. Your insights were well received and relevant. I received quite a bit of excellent feedback regarding your lecture to the Gator Sport Management Club in particular. For example, the president of the club shared with me the quote below from a student that attended your talk:

I would just like to commend the club for its latest guest speaker, Matt Crevin. His speech was very informative and I learned a lot from his experience, as well as his insight into the industry. I also appreciate the different approach he had to offer through his website and various interviews. Again, good job with this meeting’s guest speaker.

Thank you again for making the time to visit the University of Florida. We look forward to having you back on campus again in the future of the opportunity arises.

I sat in on a presentation delivered by Matt Crevin of Voice of the Box and by far, it was one of the the best career decisions I have made.  His presentation to Sam Houston State University was a great success and I quickly reached out to retain Matt as my career coach. His presentation was value packed, right to the point and they provided me the guidance and tools I have implemented to land my first job in the baseball industry.  I would not be in the position I am in today without Matt’s top level presentation/program.  I encourage anyone who is looking to break into the sports industry to connect with Matt, you will not be disappointed!

Dear Matt,

Now that Spring Semester is coming to a close, I finally have a chance to address some long over-due writing.  I wanted to thank you, Matt, for the session you presented earlier in the semester to my class of Sports Communications students at the University of Arizona.

I can report to you that the response following your Skyped live video presentation was quite positive.  Your background within the industry coupled to an engaging presentation style kept the group interested and thinking.  I personally thought yours was the best presentation of all those the class saw and heard during the semester.  Your examples were relevant, plus the dialogue you created furthered your points and caused many to think about obtaining a position in sports in a whole new way.

I realize that taking time away from your business to not only give a presentation but to plan and organize one is not simple or easy.   I’d like you to know how appreciative I am of that.  I hope you’ll be open to doing it again sometime soon for another class.

Best regards,
James F. McLean

I first met Matt when he was a guest speaker at the University of Arizona Sports Marketing Association meeting in December of 2010. I realized that he was someone who I could learn from and retained him as my sports industry career coach through his company, Voice of the Box.

I am glad I did as his approach, style and results oriented coaching process has been extremely helpful.  Through his coaching and his deep industry connections he was able to help me make a connection at Nike that otherwise would have been very tough to get.  Equally as important was his guidance in getting me prepared for the informational meetings.

I would recommend anyone who is serious about breaking into the sports industry to get in contact with Matt.  He is a valuable resource and a big part of my career search strategy.

Regards,
Andrew Price

Thanks again for sharing your invaluable insight into sports careers with my class.  Your vast experience and knowledge base gave my students innovative ideas and inspiration toward their job search.  Last night I gave my final lecture and at the end, I asked the students to write down their favorite parts of the course.  Well over half the class mentioned they most enjoyed learning what was required to have a successful career in sports.  Your talk was a major source of that information.  Thanks again and I hope we can work something out next year.

Regards,
Mike
