Show 121 – 15/01/14

Good Evening Ladies and Gents, welcome to the Fastest Hour in Sports Talk. Opening up the show we had our Tip of the Hats. Starting off Don gave a tip to the high school prep star volleyball player from Louisville Prep who won the Gatorade Player of the Year. Next, Kristina gave a tip to the Clippers for the dismantling of the Lakers. Following Riley gave a tip to the 49ers defense for stopping the Panthers. Closing out Mr. Ron gave a tip to all the winners of the NFL Divisional Playoffs. Following our Tip of the Hat we had Riley giving us the College Corner sponsored by Chief Repertoire Apparel featuring everything in college basketball. Following Mr. Ron gave us the firing of the DL coach in Chicago as news he’s keeping an eye on. Next Don gave us news of the Maryland Terrapins filling a counter claim against the ACC. Next up, Riley gave us the news of Riley Hatch hitting a three pointer in his first game back at Loyola High School after surviving two plane crashes that killed his family.

Coming back from break we opened with our Pick of the Week sponsored by Ink Fiends. Our first pick was the AFC Championship game featuring the Patriots and the Broncos. Don, Kristina, and Riley picked the Broncos while Mr. Ron picked the Patriots. Next up we had the NFC Championship game featuring the Seahawks vs. the 49ers. Starting off we had our End of the Year Banzana Hour of Sports. Starting off Don gave a Tip of the Hat to the Arizona Wildcats for staying number 1. Following up we had Kristina giving a Tip to Chris Paul for Saturday and Monday’s game. Next we had Riley giving a Tip to Justin Tucker and to finish up we had Mr. Ron give a Tip to Jamal Charles. Moving forward we had our sporting highlights where Don and a nod to the MLB Next up, Kristina gave a nod to the Packers for beating the Dallas Cowboys. Next, Riley gave a nod to finding a Beef O’ Brady Bowl in California and Mr. Ron gave a nod to the ? Following that we had Riley giving you the College Corner sponsored by Chief Repertoire Apparel featuring all things college. Moving forward we had a quick Buy and Sell featuring

No Matt tonight, but the rest of the crew was chomping at the bit for the action and with that we were off to the races. First off we had our Sporting Highlights where Riley started off giving a nod to the Oregon Duck defense. Next Kristina gave a nod to Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor for his 93 yd run. Following up Joel gave a nod to Carlos Beltran and Mr. Ron gave a nod to the first pick-off ending in the World Series. Next we had a quick basketball roundtable with the start of the season. Up next we had our College Corner w/ Riley sponsored by Chief Repertoire Apparel.  Following up before break we had another Buy and Sell featuring the NFL season so far.

Coming back from break we had our Pick of the Week our first pick was Miami vs. Florida State and the second pick was the Chargers vs. the Redskins. Riley and Kristina picked Florida State and the Chargers while Mr. Ron picked Miami and the Chargers. Next we had our Around the Dial segment. Moving forward we had our Rant of the Week sponsored by PG Sports featuring Jerry Jones and his comments on Calvin Johnson. Closing out the show we had a quick Football roundtable. Starting off we had our Tips of the Hats we had Kristina giving a Tip to her beloved Clippers while Mr. Ron gave a Tip to the Jets for beating the Patriots and Riley giving a Tip to the Missouri Tigers Football team.  Following we had the Sporting Highlight where Kristina gave a nod to the Florida State Seminoles Football team. Mr. Ron gave a nod to the Kansas City Chiefs and the NY Giants, Riley gave a nod to Cody Witfield the WR for Stanford and closing out Tony gave a nod to the Red Sox. Immediately following we had our College Corner with Riley sponsored by Chief Repertoire Apparel.  Next we had a quick Buy & Sell featuring the BCS Rankings.

Coming back from break we headed into our Pick of the Week sponsored by InkFiends Clothing. Our first pick was the Cardinals vs. the Red Sox where Kristina went with the Cardinals while Mr. Ron and Riley went with the Red Sox. Our second pick is Oregon vs. UCLA where Riley, Mr. Ron & Kristina all went with the Ducks. Moving forward we had a roundtable discussion on what sports head position we’d accept if offered. Attention Ladies and Gentlemen the Fastest Hour in Sports is coming to you live once again. Starting off we had our Tips of the Hat starting off with Kristina giving a Tip to the Raiders and her beloved Clippers. Next Mr. Ron gave a Tip to the Seahawks for losing and Riley gave a Tip to the Cleveland Browns for their 3-game win streak since trading Trent Richardson. Following up we had Riley giving us his Football Rankings for the week and the latest and greatest football news.  Next we had the games we’re looking forward to this week and the top games of last week. Following that we had a buy and sell on the college and NFL hot topics.

Coming back from break we jumped into our Rant of the Week featuring the lowly Giants sponsored by PG Sports. Next we had our highly anticipated Pick of the Week segment sponsored by InkFiends Clothing. The first pick was the Pirates vs. Cardinals where Kristina and Mr. Ron both picked the Pirates while Riley picked the Cardinals. Next our second pick was the Saints vs. Patriots where Kristina, Mr. Ron, and Riley all picked the Saints. Moving forward we had our Around the Dial segment prepared by Kristina. No Matt tonight so the crew took over the airwaves, and with that the “Fastest Hour in Sports” was off and running.  Starting off we had our Sporting Highlights where Mr. Ron started off with the topic that grinds his gears with the Phillies fans who tore the ivy off the Cubs wall. Kristina followed with the highlights of Jameis Winston in his first start in college and Sloane Stephens for her quality match against Serena Williams. Closing out Tony gave a grind gear point to Nascar for having an event in downtown Baltimore during the holiday weekend. Closing out the first half we had a quick open discussion on whether players should get paid in college.

Opening up after break we had a quick discussion on the opening night for the NFL with the Broncos versus the Ravens. Following that we headed Around the Dial for our weekly sound bite segment prepared by Kristina. Closing out we had our Rant of The Week sponsored by PG Sports featuring Johnny Manziel and the NCAAs handling of scandals. No Matt tonight as he was on assignment so with that the “Fastest Hour in Sports” was off to the races. Starting off Kristina gave a tip to Japan for winning back to back LLWS titles. Following Don gave a tip to Alfonso Soriano for getting his 400th career homerun, and Mr. Ron gave a tip to Tiger Woods for choking again. Moving forward we had an open discussion between Don and Mr. Ron on Fantasy Sports. Coming back from break we opened with our Pick of the Week segment sponsored by InkFiends Clothing. The first pick is Georgia vs. Clemson; the second is LSU vs. TCU. Don picked Clemson and TCU while Kristina picked Georgia and TCU.  Our next segment was the Around the Dial segment prepared every week by Kristina. With Matt and Joel both on assignment tonight’s show became the Mr. Bear Fan Ron, Wheels, and the new man in town Kevin power hour. Opening up the show we had a quick roundtable discussion on steroid use in baseball and if it tarnishes the All Star Game. Moving forward we had a Matt Garza discussion on what we would give up for him if we were a GM. Following we had our Tip of the Hats where Tony started off giving a tip to Chris Davis for leading the league in homeruns. Next Kevin gave a tip to racer Brian Vickers.  Moving forward Kristina gave a tip to Jordan Speith and Ron gave a tip to the Boston Red Sox. Closing out the first half we had a quick Buy and Sell on whether Brett Favre should have his number retired by the Packers.

Coming back from break we opened up with the Pick of the Week sponsored by InkFiends Clothing.  This week we had our pick of the Open Championship where we had our choice of Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott or the field winning it all. Welcome Ladies and Gents to the fastest flying hour of sports. Opening of the show we had our sporting highlights where Kristina gave a shout out to her Clippers and Don gave a nod to Matthew Stafford on his contract extension. To close out the segment Mr. Bear Fan Ron gave a nod to his Cub’s trades this season. Moving forward we had our tips of the hat where Mr. Bear Fan Show gave a tip to his Cubs, Don tipped to Geraldine Heaney for being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Finishing out Kristina gave a tip to Chris Weidman for beating Anderson Silva. Following we had a roundtable discussion on infamy in sports on whether it’s good or bad and how scandals follow their careers.

Coming back from break we had our Pick of the Week sponsored by InkFiends featuring the MLB All Star game between the NL and AL teams. Both Kristina and Don picked the NL for the win. Moving on we had the topics that are grinding our gears. Keeping this train rolling we moved into the Around the Dial segment prepared every week by the “super one” Kristina. Show 101 – 18/06/13

Tonight is another night of BTG with Bear Fan Ron, Don the “Hurricane”, and “Super Intern” Kristina. Starting off we had a Stanley Cup roundtable featuring Don and Ron with an inside look into the Bruins and Blackhawks series. Moving forward we had a quick basketball roundtable inside look into the Spurs and Heat series.  Following we had our highs and lows of the past week. Kristina gave her high to Danny Green and her low went to the Clipper Organization. Don had his high of Justin rose winning the US Open and his low was to Shawn Stefani for having an Ace in the US Open.  Bear Fan Ron followed suit giving his low and high to his Blackhawks. Tony had his highs and lows going to the Orioles and the Blackhawks respectively.

Coming back from break we opened up with our Pick of the Week sponsored by Ink Fiends Clothing. Our pick this week featured game 4 of the Bruins and Blackhawks; Kristina picked the Bruins while Don picked the Blackhawks. The picks are in and someone is going for the WIN!!
